Scripps Ranch senior Gina Holslag, who will attend Cal, is a one-person highlight reel. The returning All-San Diego Section first-teamer tallied 83 goals and 27 assists last year for the Falcons. Scripps Ranch will rely on Holslag’s offensive prowess once again as the Falcons try to push past the first round of the postseason, where they were eliminated last year by Francis Parker 12-10.
Season outlook: Two-time defending champion La Costa Canyon returns several key components from last year’s team, including Candelaria, who is headed to Stanford. Coronado extended the Mavericks in last year’s title game. Torrey Pines continues to improve and is becoming a legitimate threat. Rancho Bernardo is a program on the rise.
