Michigan High School Boys Lacrosse: Brother Rice Boys Lacrosse (22-1) Defeated Detroit Catholic Central 16-10 To Win Eighth Straight State Championship And 13th In 15 Years


 

Sparked by a ferocious fourth-quarter rally, Brother Rice defeated arch rival Catholic Central for the third time this season, 16-10, to win the Division 1 state championship.

It is Rice’s eighth straight state championship and 13th in the past 15 years. Incredibly, the Warriors haven’t lost to a Michigan-based team since 2002.

“It was a complete team effort,” exclaimed head coach Rob Ambrose, whose overall record at Rice is a sparkling 323-33. “Our defense played well all year, even with two sophomores. Different kids stepped up at different times when we needed them.

California High School Girls Lacrosse Recruiting: Inaugural Adrenaline Girls Lacrosse Showcase Features 120 Top Players From The West And 30 NCAA & WDIA Coaches


The final roster (see below) is now set for the inaugural Adrenaline Girls’ Showcase.  This first of its kind western event has the top 120 players from all over the West as recommended by high school and college coaches as well as local evaluators.  This pool of talented players includes team MVP’s, all-league, all-conference and All-American selections from all over the West.

Western areas represented include Northern California, Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Seattle, Oregon, Texas and Colorado. Players will be divided into 2 divisions (2012/2013) & (2011) each with 4 teams.

30 NCAA & WDIA coaches will be on hand to scout the talent and conduct valuable college level clinics for the expert players attending.  Amongst the notables are top programs and schools such as UCONN, Vermont, UC Berkley, Oregon, St. Mary’s & Amherst.
