Western College Men’s Lacrosse: Colorado College Men’s Lacrosse Announces 12-Man Freshman Recruiting Class

The men’s lacrosse program appears poised to build on its recent success with the addition of a 12-player recruiting class that includes a pair of high school All-Americans, four all-state selections and four of the top players from the Denver metro area.

“We’re bringing in guys who are multi-sport athletes – they’re athletic guys, but they are also guys who are really committed and dedicated to being good lacrosse guys,” second year head coach Guy Van Arsdale said. “They’re going to help push our program in the direction we want to go.”

The incoming class includes two attackmen, six midfielders, three defenders and a goaltender. In addition to four Colorado players, eight other states are represented in the class – California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon and Washington.

“Four freshmen out of Denver doubles the amount of Colorado kids on our team in one year,” Van Arsdale said. “We’re very excited about that because it’s very important to us to get the best kids in Colorado to come to CC.”
