Oregon High School Lacrosse: Lake Oswego Girls Lacrosse (2-1) Returns To Form In 2011 With A Young Team After Graduating 8 Seniors

The Lake Oswego girls lacrosse team graduated eight seniors off of last year’s team but an influx of young talent should keep the Lakers very competitive again this season.

Leading the way for Lake Oswego this year will be senior co-captain Dana Kilsby, an honorable mention All-American last year. Kilsby anchors a very strong midfield for Lake Oswego that also features Paige Timberg, Libby Nielsen and Tatum Johnson.

“We have a lot of very good experience in our midfield,” coach Lauren Anderson said.

The Lakers are also very strong defensively this year. The team has another senior captain tending the net in Carly Hall. In front of her will be a talented defensive corps led by senior Brittany Scrugham. Slobhan Mead and Kate Hearon will play alongside Scrugham and will look to make things difficult for opposing offenses.

So far this season the Lakers have been very strong defensively, getting a 12-8 win over Wilson and then outscoring Canby and Rex Putnam by a combined 34-1 margin.
