NCAA Lacrosse: ECAC Men’s Lacrosse Places Four Teams In Top 20 Of “NCAA RPI Rankings” Including #1 Loyola, Fairfield, Denver And Ohio State


The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is tied with the Atlantic Coast Conference for the most teams – with four – ranked in the Top 20 of the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) rankings, released on Wednesday. Loyola Maryland is No. 1, followed by Fairfield at No. 13, Denver is 15th and Ohio State ranks 20th. The Greyhounds also occupy the top spot in the national poll rankings by the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and NIKE/Inside Lacrosse, becoming the first ECAC squad to do so since Georgetown in 2007.

NCAA Lacrosse: Ivy League Men’s Lacrosse Conference “Showdown” Looms As Cornell (4-0) To Face Princeton (4-0) On April 28


With conference wins over the weekend, Yale and Princeton punched their tickets to the third annual Ivy League Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, joining Cornell in the 2012 field. Like the Big Red, the Bulldogs will be making a third consecutive appearance in the event, while Princeton returns after a one-year hiatus. The Tigers captured the inaugural tournament title in 2010 and Cornell won in 2011.
