Men’s Lacrosse: Fifth Annual “Patriot Cup 2013” Lacrosse Tournament On March 2 Features Dartmouth Vs. Georgetown And SMU Vs. Texas A&M


The Fifth Annual Patriot Cup Lacrosse Tournament returns to Dallas on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at SMU’s Ford Stadium. The Patriot Cup will showcase some of the nation’s premier collegiate and high school programs, including perennial powerhouse Georgetown versus Dartmouth. Also featured will be SMU versus Texas A&M, two of the nation’s top MCLA teams (virtual varsity college). Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that seeks to assist men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world.

Major League Lacrosse: CBS Sports Network To Televise 20 Games During 2013 MLL Season


Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced today that CBS Sports Network will feature 20 live, nationally televised games throughout the 2013 season.  "We're excited to be able to continue and expand our relationship with CBS Sports Network," said MLL Commissioner David Gross. "We'll now have one third of all MLL games on the Network which will really service our fans and their appetite to watch the best lacrosse in the world."  The deal includes an additional six games from the inaugural season of MLL on CBS Sports Network in 2012, as well as 18 episodes of "Inside the MLL," the league's 30-minute magazine show. The show provides fans with an inside look at MLL's teams, players and coaches, including behind-the-scenes video and analysis prior to each game.

MCLA Lacrosse: Colorado State Men’s Lacrosse Ranked Preseason #1 Followed By Arizona State, Cal Poly, Chapman And BYU


Colorado State and St. Thomas earned the No. 1 positions in Lacrosse Magazine's preseason rankings for the 2013 Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Divisions I and II, respectively, released today. Lacrosse Magazine also named Pitt attackman Tyler Novotny and Westminster midfielder Jake Arthur as its preseason players of the year for Divisions I and II, respectively.
