The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team will play five games and a tournament for its fall exhibition season, head coach Liza Kelly announced today.
The Pioneers open the fall slate hosting Colorado (Oct. 2) and Regis (Oct. 6).
Denver will then travel to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Tournament (Oct. 12) and a matchup at Navy (Oct. 13).
DU will host an Alumnae Game (Oct. 18) prior to wrapping up its fall schedule against Colorado State (Oct. 26). Both games will be played at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
“We are excited to build upon last season’s success with a busy fall schedule,” Kelly said. “We are looking forward to heading back to the Naval Academy for their tournament and to see how we measure up against some talented opponents.”
The Denver women’s lacrosse team finished the 2013 season with an 18-3 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Pioneers went undefeated at home and had a perfect 8-0 record in the regular season against MPSF opponents.
