NCAA Lacrosse Social Media: Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse Ranks #1 In “Twitter Followers”; Duke, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Denver, Loyola, Johns Hopkins And Cornell In Top 10

Follow Lacrosse On Twitter

Syracuse’s in-house men’s lacrosse Twitter page has 22.5 percent more followers than any other Division I program, a gap of almost 3,000 followers between the Orange and Duke, the two teams that played for the national championship in May.
The ACC easily had college lacrosse’s largest imprint on the social media network. Maryland (third), Virginia (fourth) and Notre Dame (sixth) all ranked in the top six. North Carolina is the outlier in the league; the Tar Heels are 20th.
The only non-ACC team to crack the top five was Michigan, which just completed its second season as a varsity program last spring.
