Boston University head men’s lacrosse coach Ryan Polley announced the team’s fall schedule, which will feature four exhibition games.
The first two contests on the docket will be at the Northeast Classic, formerly known as the Catamount Classic, held Oct. 13 at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Mass. The Terriers will face Sacred Heart at 10 a.m. before taking on Hartford at 12 p.m. All event proceeds will be donated to cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
BU will host an alumni game against current and past club team players on Oct. 19 at Nickerson Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m. The final exhibition will take place on Oct. 23 (7 p.m.) when the Terriers host Team England at Nickerson.
“We are extremely excited to kick off our inaugural fall season with four great opportunities for our young team to get better and develop chemistry,” Polley said. “The Northeast Classic will provide us two tough opponents to compete against while benefiting a great cause. The alumni game will combine new and old as we will have everyone back for a fun event. Finally, our game against England’s national team will be a tremendous barometer of our team’s overall progress as we head into the offseason.”
The team’s first official practice will take place on Sept. 12 in preparation for the fall schedule.
