Head coach Jenny Levy has released the 2014 University of North Carolina women’s lacrosse schedule, a slate that will see the defending NCAA champion Tar Heels once again play one of the nation’s most challenging schedules in the new-look Atlantic Coast Conference.
Next spring, Carolina will play at least 11 games against teams that made the 2013 NCAA Tournament, including No. 1 seed Maryland, No. 2 seed Northwestern and No. 4 seed Syracuse (all of whom advanced to the NCAA semifinals last spring along with the third-seeded Tar Heels). UNC also will play No. 5 seed Florida, No. 6 seed Penn, No. 8 seed Georgetown, Virginia, Duke, Towson, Notre Dame and Boston College from the 2013 NCAA field.
