NCAA Lacrosse: Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse Releases 2014 Schedule Featuring Hofstra, Towson, Albany, Siena, Maryland, Virginia, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Notre Dame, Cornell And North Carolina

Syracuse University head men’s lacrosse coach John Desko released the team’s 2014 schedule on Thursday, Dec. 19. This year’s slate includes games against six NCAA Tournament teams from last season and is highlighted by five Atlantic Coast Conference games in the Orange’s first year as a member of the ACC.
The Orange’s five ACC opponents all rank in the top nine of the Inside Lacrosse Faceoff Yearbook Preseason Top 20. Reigning national champion Duke (No. 1), North Carolina (No. 3) and Notre Dame (No. 4) are in the top five. Maryland is No. 6 and Virginia is No. 9. In addition, the Orange will square off with No. 12 Albany, No. 14 Johns Hopkins, No. 16 St. John’s and No. 17 Cornell this season for a total of nine games versus Top 20 teams.

Virginia men’s lacrosse head coach Dom Starsia announced his team’s schedule for the 2014 season today. The schedule features seven home games. Among UVa’s opponents in 2014 are seven teams that played in last season’s NCAA tournament.
“I do not think it is an exaggeration to suggest that the challenge in 2014 is epic in the history of our sport,” said Starsia. “The 2014 ACC men’s lacrosse conference may be the strongest assembled in NCAA history in any sport. Five of the six teams in this conference have won NCAA championships and this schedule features every NCAA champion since 2001.”

Charley Toomey, head coach of Loyola University Maryland’s men’s lacrosse team, announced a 14-game regular-season schedule for the 2014 season that includes the Greyhounds’ first games as members of the Patriot League, continuing rivalries with pas opponents and the renewal of challenges with the addition of games with the University of Virginia and Penn State University.
The schedule will test the Greyhounds, who finished the 2013 season with an 11-5 record and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament, from the outset. Four of Loyola’s first six games are against teams that also competed in last year’s NCAA Tournament.

Loyola University Maryland head women’s lacrosse coach Jen Adams has announced the squad’s 2013 spring schedule.
The Greyhounds, coming off their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, have put together one of the nation’s toughest non-conference schedules, as seven of their nine out-of-conference opponents advanced to the 2013 NCAA Championships.
Four NCAA Tournament teams will visit Ridley Athletic Complex, as Loyola will host seven home games this spring. It’s contest at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, Feb. 26 will also be featured on ESPNU.

NCAA Lacrosse: Duke Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2014 Schedule Featuring Northwestern, Maryland, Virginia, Syracuse, North Carolina And Notre Dame

Duke women’s lacrosse head coach Kerstin Kimel has announced the program’s schedule for the 2014 campaign, which features contests against 10 2013 NCAA Tournament teams, including all four of last year’s national semifinalists. The challenging slate is also highlighted by inaugural ACC matchups with Notre Dame and Syracuse.
Kimel’s squad will host nine games at Koskinen Stadium in 2014, including tilts against conference opponents Maryland, Virginia and Boston College, as well as future ACC member Louisville. Duke will also hit the road for seven road contests, with trips to the Carrier Dome at Syracuse and South Bend to face the Fighting Irish. The 2014 ACC Tournament will be played at Boston College’s Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass., Apr. 24-27.
