Denver Men's Lacrosse 2014 Preseason Rankings

The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team is ranked No. 4 in both the USILA Coaches’ and the Warrior Inside Lacrosse Media Preseason Polls that were released on Monday.
Denver finished last season with a 14-5 overall record and its second trip to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals in three seasons.
The Pioneers claimed 215 points in the USILA Coaches’ Poll, sitting behind Syracuse (240), North Carolina (236) and Duke (230). In the Warrior Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, Denver has 319 points and sits behind Duke (374), Syracuse (346) and North Carolina (337).
Seven of the Pioneers’ 2014 opponents are ranked within the top-20 in both polls, while Air Force is receiving votes in the Coaches’ Poll and Georgetown is receiving votes in the Media Poll.

Denver opens the 2014 season on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Air Force at 1 p.m. MT. The Pioneers then travel to take on defending national champions Duke on Saturday, Feb. 15 in Durham, N.C.
