This is the first time in the league’s 18-year history the Championships are being held west of Colorado. Hosted by the MCLA’s Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC), MCLA Divisions I and II will each compete in separate, 16 team single-elimination bracket tournaments. First Round, Quarterfinal, and Consolation games will be held on the recreation fields at University of California, Irvine, with Semifinal and Final matches held in Chapman University’s Ernie Chapman Stadium. Tickets are required for admittance to all games, including First and Quarterfinal Rounds, which are free of charge. All 30 games will be webcast live, exclusively on mcla.us in partnership with The Lacrosse Network. “The SLC is thrilled to bring the 2014 & 2015 MCLA Championships to the southwest and the premier facilities offered by UC Irvine and Chapman University,” said SLC President Matt Holman. “With this move comes a renewed commitment to the player experience and we have many exciting surprises in store for teams and their fans.
