The Colorado Mammoth announced today that it will open its 12th season in the National Lacrosse League at home against the Edmonton Rush on Saturday, December 28 at 7pm MT. The game kicks off the NLL’s 2014 campaign, one in which teams will play a record 18 regular-season games (up from 16).

National Lacrosse League: “2014 NLL Schedule” Released Featuring Expanded 81-Game Season Opening On Dec 28 With Three Face Off Games

The National Lacrosse League has announced the schedule for the 2014 NLL regular season. As the 28th season of professional indoor lacrosse, the new 81-game schedule has expanded from 16 to 18 games per team this year and will open on Saturday, Dec. 28 with three Face Off 2014 games.

Vancouver Stealth Unveil New Logo

The Vancouver Stealth are settled into their new home at the Langley Events Centre and with just one month until the annual National Lacrosse League draft, the team has unveiled its new logo. The new brand features the familiar ‘Stealth’ font emblazoned in grey with a red trim accompanied by the word mark ‘Vancouver’.
The new element is the black ‘V’ symbolizing Vancouver which falls behind the traditional lettering,
“We feel it is a very effective logo that adds a new element while maintaining some of the tradition and brand that we have already built,” Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker added that the black ‘V’ will look very sleek on the club’s yet to be released jerseys.

National League Lacrosse: Washington Stealth Moves To Vancouver After Team Averages An NLL “League-Low 4,184 Attendance” In 2013


The Washington Stealth professional lacrosse team, based in Everett since 2009, is moving to Langley, B.C. for the 2014 season. The Stealth reached the finals of the nine-team National Lacrosse League in three of the past four seasons, including winning the championship in 2010. The team said Thursday in a news release that the business side of running the team in Everett was not working out. “Ultimately, it was time for us to make a business decision to avoid losing the team altogether,”  said David Takata, the team president. This past season, the team averaged a league-low 4,184 fans per game.
