WCLA Lacrosse: Westminster Women’s Lacrosse 2014 Schedule Features BYU, Texas, Michigan State, Michigan, UCLA, Colorado & Colorado State

The Westminster College women’s lacrosse team has a slate of 13 regular season games set for the 2014 season. The schedule includes four home games and features six teams that qualified for the 2013 WCLA DI National Championship.
For the fifth straight season, Westminster will open the year at the Santa Barbara Shootout. The Griffins open with Michigan State and Pittsburgh on Feb. 15. They will them face Santa Clara on Feb. 16 and a yet to be announced team on Feb. 17.
Westminster’s first home game comes on March 8 when Utah State visits Dumke Field for the first of three straight games against teams from the state of Utah. On March 15, the Griffins play at Utah Valley before a March 21 home game against Brigham Young in the RMWLL opener.

NCAA Lacrosse: Stanford Women’s Lacrosse 2014 Schedule Features Ohio State, Harvard, Fresno State, Towson, Georgetown, Cornell, Notre Dame, Denver, Colorado, Oregon, UC Davis, Cal And USC

The Stanford lacrosse team will be televised four times this season on the Pac-12 Networks, it was revealed as the team’s schedule was released Thursday.
In addition, Stanford will play five 2013 NCAA tournament teams during its 16-game regular season, including a home Mountain Pacific Sports Federation showdown against Denver on April 7.
The Pac-12 Networks will air six games altogether, with Stanford receiving the most exposure. The Cardinal’s four television games are MPSF contests April 6 against visiting Colorado (1 p.m.), April 11 at Oregon (5 p.m.), April 20 at USC (1 p.m., and April 24 against visiting Cal (4 p.m.) in the regular-season finale.
Stanford has an eight-game home schedule, with three in nonconference play to open the season, beginning with Ohio State (Feb. 15, 1 p.m.) and followed by Harvard (Feb. 22) and Vanderbilt (March 2).

13th year Quinnipiac men’s lacrosse head coach Eric Fekete released the Bobcats’ 2014 schedule on Tuesday which features one game against cross-town rival Yale, who finished the 2013 campaign ranked seventh in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Poll, and another against reigning MAAC Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Detroit Mercy.
“I’m excited to announce our 2014 schedule,” said Fekete. “Once again it presents a significant challenge for our program, but after a fall in which we made many positive strides, we look forward to the opportunity to compete against such quality opponents.”

NCAA Lacrosse: Holy Cross Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2014 Schedule Featuring UMass, Yale, Colgate, Brown, Loyola, Harvard And Navy

The Holy Cross women’s lacrosse program has announced its 2014 schedule. Holy Cross is scheduled to play 17 regular season games, including eight at Holy Cross Field. The Crusaders will take on four teams that made it to the 2013 NCAA Tournament (Boston College, Loyola (Md.), UMass and Navy).
The Crusaders will start the season with a home game versus Bryant (Feb. 13). The Crusaders will then hit the road to take on five-time defending Atlantic 10 Tournament champion UMass (Feb. 18) and Yale (Feb. 22). The Crusaders will return home for a contest against Fairfield (Feb. 26).

Head Lacrosse Coach Emma Wallace has announced the 2014 American University lacrosse schedule, which features eight regular season home games as the Eagles look to advance to the Patriot League Tournament for the fourth straight year.
“I am excited about our 2014 schedule and look forward to starting the season on February 8,” said Coach Wallace. “This year we face a challenging non-conference schedule featuring match-ups against UMBC, Virginia and Johns Hopkins. Our competitive non-conference schedule will prepare us well for Patriot League play as our conference has only grown in strength with the addition of Loyola (Md.) and Boston U. It is extremely exciting to be in a league that has an automatic qualifying bid and the strong possibility of an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.”

An ambitious slate that includes all four of last year’s final four participants awaits Notre Dame head women’s lacrosse coach Christine Halfpenny’s squad in 2014 as it vaults into the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Seven of the eight teams in the ACC (including the Irish) qualified for last year’s NCAA Tournament. In addition to facing each of the other six, Notre Dame will play three more 2013 NCAA Tournament participants in its non-conference schedule for a total of nine. Eight of those nine teams also finished the 2013 season ranked in the top 14 of the final Top 20 IWLCA coaches’ poll.

NCAA Div II Lacrosse: Tampa Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2014 Schedule Featuring Rollins, Erskine, Limestone, Adams State, Saint Leo And Newberry

The University of Tampa women’s lacrosse program has announced its schedule for the inaugural season, as announced by head coach Kelly Gallagher.
The schedule includes four teams that were nationally ranked to end the 2013 season, including the nation’s No. 2 and 3 ranked squads. Additionally, a pair of regionally-ranked opponents will also play the Spartans.
UT will play 12 of its 17 regular-season games at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex, beginning with the program’s first regular season game against Rollins College on February 9 at 2 p.m. The Tars finished the 2013 season with a 16-2 record, and will also host the Spartans to end the regular season on April 27 in Winter Park.

If you still need proof of the rapid growth of college lacrosse, look no further than Notre Dame’s 2014 schedule that has the Fighting Irish playing at least 13 games in eight different states.
Not only will the Irish rack up frequent flyer miles, they will do so while competing against some of the top programs in the nation. The slate features seven teams that qualified for last season’s NCAA tournament, including three Championship Weekend participants (Denver, Duke, Syracuse). The program is entering its inaugural Atlantic Coast Conference campaign and five of the six teams that comprise the league were in the NCAA tournament one season ago.
