2013 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships Philadelphia

Top-seeded Syracuse leads the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Northwestern Mutual field – set to air on ESPN networks Saturday, May 25 and Monday, May 27, from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The semifinals will be shown on ESPN2 and WatchESPN as No. 7 seed Duke faces unseeded Cornell at 2:30 p.m., followed by Syracuse against No. 4 seed Denver at 5 p.m.
The 2013 season will culminate with the National Championship game Monday at 1 p.m. on ESPN and WatchESPN

ESPN has covered 30 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships since 1980 and ESPN Lacrosse2013 marks the 19th consecutive year of televising the championship weekend games.

Game Features

  • Microphones will be worn by all three game officials during the semifinals and championship, providing on-field dialogue throughout the telecast with periodic switches to each official
  • Additional microphones will be mounted on the goals and on-field audio will also be present
  • The telecast will use nine cameras, plus the SkyCam and Super Slo Motion camera,  which will allow viewers to experience a visually enhanced presentation
  • The SkyCam returns for the fourth year and a Live SkyCam Presentation of the title game on Monday can be seen on ESPNU, ESPN3 and WatchESPN with announcer audio and replays
  • Among the stories ESPN will be tracking, include: Cornell’s Rob Pannell’s quest to break the NCAA Division I all-time scoring record; Denver’s Wesley Berg, averaging six goals per game during postseason, and is positioned to break the tournament scoring record; Duke, under coach John Danowksi, has been to the Final Four in each of his seven year; Syracuse returns to the semis for first time since 2009; and Denver coach Bill Tierney has amassed an impressive resume in his 27 years of coaching

2013 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships Philadephia

ESPNU will exclusively unveil the 16-team bracket during the hour-long 2013 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship Selection Show Presented by Northwestern Mutual on Sunday, May 5, at 9 p.m. ET. Host Anish Shroff and analysts Quint Kessenich and Paul Carcaterra will provide breakdown of the field and tournament predictions, along with interviews with select head coaches.
ESPN networks will provide exclusive coverage of all 15 games of the NCAA Championship for the seventh straight year. Coverage will be across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3 and WatchESPN beginning Saturday, May 5, and concluding with the national title game on Monday, May 27. The women’s championship weekend – beginning Friday, May 24, with the national semifinals – will be shown on ESPN3, followed by the title game on Sunday, May 26, on ESPNU and WatchESPN.

Lacrosse On Television: Major League Lacrosse And ESPN Announce 2013 Schedule Featuring Six Games On ESPN2 And 25 Games On ESPN3


MLL and ESPN Television Schedule

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today the ESPN television schedule for the 2013 season. ESPN2 and WatchESPN will show six nationally televised games on ESPN2 in addition to 25 games on ESPN3.
“ESPN has been a strong partner for the last decade,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “We are thrilled to continue this partnership bringing some of the best league matchups to the world’s leading sports network.” The first game to be televised on ESPN2 will be Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 PM as the Charlotte Hounds visit the Boston Cannons at historic Harvard Stadium. The following week ESPN2 will televise the 2013 MLL All-Star Game presented by Moe’s Southwest Grill, live from American Legion Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 PM. MLL Championship Weekend from PPL Park in Chester, Pa. will also figure prominently on ESPN2 as the network will televise the first semifinal on Saturday, August 24 at 1:00 PM and the 2013 MLL Championship Game on Sunday, August 25 at 3:00 PM.

Major League Lacrosse: CBS Sports Network Announces That It Will Air 20 MLL Games, 18 Episodes Of “Inside The MLL” Nationally In 2013


Major League Lacrosse and CBS Sports Network Television Schedule

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and CBS Sports Network announced today the television schedule for the 2013 season. The network will air 20 nationally televised games in addition to all 18 episodes of ‘Inside the MLL,’ the League’s 30-minute magazine show.
“We are very excited to expand the number of games on CBS Sports Network to 20 this season,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “Paired with our weekly magazine show ‘Inside the MLL’ it will give our fans unfettered access to the best MLL has to offer.”
The first nationally televised game of the season will be Saturday, May 18 featuring the Rochester Rattlers and the Denver Outlaws, from Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The game will air at 10:00 PM, ET on a one hour same-day delayon CBS Sports Network. The Network will feature several high profile games throughout the season, including Denver’sannual fireworks game on Thursday, July 4, when the Outlaws host the New York Lizards at 9:00 PM, ET. Additionally, CBS Sports Network will televise the Rochester home game against the Boston Cannons, from Kennesaw State University Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.

NCAA Lacrosse: ESPN To Televise 53 Men’s And Women’s Lacrosse Games On ESPNU And ESPN3

ESPN’s 2013 college lacrosse schedule features an increase in games, plus the debut of the ESPNU Wednesday Men’s Lacrosse Game of the Week showcasing nationally-ranked teams and high-quality games. This year’s coverage includes 53 total games — 44 regular season, 46 men’s and seven women’s — including the crowning of the ACC, BIG EAST, America East and Ivy League tournament champions. All ESPNU programming will be available on computers at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

Lacrosse On Television: The 2012 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Season Will Be Featured On ESPN2 (6 Games) And ESPN3 (42 Games) Beginning On April 28 With A Tripleheader


The 2012 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) season will feature six games on ESPN2 and 42 regular-season games delivered live on ESPN3 as the 12th season of MLL action is slated to begin Saturday, April 28, with a tripleheader. With the league expansion of Charlotte and Ohio, MLL has a record number of games across ESPN networks. In addition, the MLL All-Star Game and the MLL Championship Weekend will air on ESPN2, ESPN3 and WatchESPN. The season opens with a tripleheader on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. ET, featuring Rochester at Boston, Denver at Charlotte and Chesapeake at Long Island. ESPN2, ESPN3 and WatchESPN will also air three regular-season games – Rochester at Long Island on Saturday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m., Charlotte at Denver on Saturday, July 14, at 7 p.m. and Chesapeake at Boston on Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. The 2012 MLL All-Star Game will take place at FAU Stadium in Palm Beach County, Fla., Saturday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2, ESPN3 and WatchESPN. The season will culminate with the MLL Championship Weekend Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25 & 26, at Harvard Stadium in Boston, Mass., airing the first semifinal and the championship game on ESPN2, ESPN3 and WatchESPN.
