US Lacrosse Boys U-15 National Championships: NorCal Boys Lacrosse Earns #1 Seed With Wins Over Oregon Reign, Jersey Riders And St. Paul’s Wolves

Nor Cal allowed just three goals in victories over the Oregon Reign, Jersey Ridgers and St. Paul’s Wolves (La.) to earn the No. 1 seed after pool play at the 2010 US Lacrosse Boys’ U-15 National Championship. Nor Cal was one of seven teams that went unbeaten during action at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Included among the unbeatens were last year’s finalists, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Md.) and For the Love of the Game (N.Y.).

Earning the No. 2 seed was True Lacrosse from Illinois, which knocked off Next Level (Md.), a semifinalist at last year’s US Lacrosse national championship, by a 5-3 score.

FCA outdueled the Long Island Outlaws 7-4 to highlight its opening day of action to earn the No. 3 seed and was followed by For the Love of the Game at No. 4. FTLG poured in 35 goals in its three victories.

Rounding out the top five was the Greene Turtle (Md.). The Greene Turtle allowed none of its opponents to score more than three goals. Finishing as the No. 6 seed was Denver Elite, which hung on to beat the Florida Swashbucklers 5-4 to help complete its perfect day. The final unbeaten team was NESLL (Mass.), which closed the day beating the Virginia Lacrosse Club 9-2 in a battle of unbeatens.
